Genesys lists these ten WAV combinations as tested and officially supported. Other formats may work, but Genesys does not call them officially supported; MP3 is not supported.

25 MB upload limit
Genesys documents a 25 MB maximum without defining decimal MB or binary MiB. IVRReady conservatively uses a deterministic limit of 25,000,000 bytes; files at or below that boundary pass the size check, and larger files fail.
What Genesys converts
Architect converts uploaded prompt audio to 8-bit μ-law for Edge runtime playback. IVRReady reports that expected platform conversion as a target fact, not as an audio QA warning or an incompatibility.
Preferred μ-law format
Genesys recommends recording directly in 8-bit μ-law because conversion can reduce quality and volume. IVRReady’s canonical correction output is RIFF/WAVE, μ-law format ID 0x0007, 8,000 Hz, mono. Mono is IVRReady’s proven correction target, not a vendor-stated generic upload requirement.
What IVRReady checks
IVRReady reads the RIFF/WAVE bytes, checks the documented format matrix where numeric metadata is unambiguous, enforces its documented 25,000,000-byte interpretation, and separately records vendor acceptance, expected platform conversion, canonical state, and source-audio QA.
What IVRReady can fix
A source outside Genesys’s officially supported matrix is Fixable only when it matches the pinned real-FFmpeg capability matrix. IVRReady then generates 8 kHz mono μ-law WAV and reinspects the generated bytes. Vendor-accepted sources are copied byte-for-byte and are not normalized merely to avoid Genesys conversion.
What IVRReady cannot prove
The current parser recognizes IMA ADPCM structurally, but Genesys does not identify the ADPCM WAV format tag in the cited matrix, so IVRReady does not infer vendor acceptance. GSM 06.10 is documented by Genesys but is not currently proven by the parser. IVRReady also does not verify tenant permissions, flow publication, prompt wording, language, runtime quality, or successful platform upload.
